Students Persevere in Lima, Peru

Dear brothers,
Receive our cordial greetings.

After a period of two months we write these lines again to inform you about the progress of the institute in Lima – Peru. The Lord has been good to us by blessing us with good health and opportunities to serve Him, in addition to opening the generous hands of our sponsors who are committed to the permanence of the program. We pray that God allows everything to move forward with his blessing.

The last two months have served to share with our students the courses: 1) Gospel of John and his epistles and 2) Galatians. It has truly been a very edifying and instructive two months. The courses were taught by Brother Abraham Alata and myself (Juan Abanto). Currently we are sharing classes with our students virtually. Financial limitations, health problems, work activities, congregational responsibilities have somehow been the scenarios that have prompted us to opt for this modality. All students are struggling to assimilate the injuries and meet the requirements of each course.

One of our teachers (Andrés Núñez) was involved in a medical evangelistic campaign in the month of June in a city in the north of the country about eight hours away, along with a large group of ministers, evangelists and missionaries from the States, the The result of this missionary work has resulted in 12 baptisms, naturally this is a new great challenge for this young congregation established in the city of Chimbote. What I am trying to say is that, either directly or indirectly, our teachers are in some way or another involved in the work of the Lord in each of their congregations of which they are members, and also in missionary work.

We are close to having the second Retreat of Preachers and Leaders in our country and with the favor of God we will be participating in this event in which we hope to leave some mark in the lives of those who are going to participate in this event and also stimulate the brothers to consider the BVBI – Peru as a training center for the brotherhood.

Continue enjoying the Christian life, your brothers in Christ from Lima – Peru.
Your servant in Christ, Juan Abanto

Positive Updates from Benin City, Nigeria

SECOND QUARTER REPORT OF BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE, WEEKEND SCHOOL, BENIN CITY, EDO STATE, NIGERIA

With a grateful heart, we, the entire staff, students, and the leadership of the host congregation, Church of Christ, 12, Ezoti Lane, Off Airport Road, Benin City, express our profound gratitude to the Bear Valley International Bible Institute, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A, and all donors for your unalloyed financial, moral and spiritual support that has kept us in the business of training men who are  desirous about taking the gospel to wherever man is found irrespective of their location. We are grateful.

This second quarter of 2024 (April, May and June) was full of exciting activities. Academically, we have successfully covered first and second Thessalonians, the cost of discipleship and leadership. The students took the final examination and their performances were impressive. The instructors, Brother Andrew Osatohamen, Enneh Everest, Daniel Fidelis, Dunia Christopher were diligent in the discharge of their duties.

The school collaborated with the Church of Christ, Ewa Road, Off Upper Mission Road, Benin City for a one day evangelism, both from house to house and open air preaching. The students turned out in good numbers. It is our prayer that God give the increase. Also, on the same day, 30th of June, 2024, ten students were led by brother Dunia Christopher for evangelism in Sule Camp near Ughoton-Gelegele Sea Port, about 32.5 km from Benin City, a very difficult terrain to access. Our consolation however is that the gospel is preached. There are many prospects in the camp as no denomination has found its way there yet. We taught the only “pastor,” who was trying to start up a church there, the true gospel together with his household. Although they were not baptized, they pleaded that we should come again. Sule Camp is an agrarian settlement with a population of about 700 settlers who are from neighbouring states of Delta and Ondo. The Church there was established by one of our student, Brother Festus Oghogho during the first quarter of 2024 shortly after he recovered from prostatitis. The church is being strengthened by Bear Valley Bible Institute, Benin City. There are six baptized members and twelve regular attendees. The church has enjoyed the goodwill of the camp’s head as she (the church) has been gifted with a portion of land to erect a shelter for worshipers.

One of our students, Brother Solomon Tobore, a legal practitioner, was recently appointed as preacher for Ewa Road Church of Christ, a service he never thought he could be given a consideration. Thanks to God Almighty and the Bear Valley family all over the world.

We thank you all for your partnership with us. Your support is highly appreciated as it has enabled us to train gospel preachers and reach the lost souls with the gospel of Christ. We pray that God bless you all ceaselessly in all you do in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Dunia Christopher

Schooling and Evangelistic Updates from Abuja, Nigeria

BVBI - NIGERIA ABUJA STUDY CENTERS

It was quite interesting to study about the "Christian Ethics" with  Dominic Dakup as the instructor.
It was an interesting course looking Christian ethics and the world ethics. The course exposed students to the ethics of the church. The number of students that attended the course were twelve (12).

The school liaises with African mission in her evangelistic missions. The school was involved in the just concluded outreach at Bwarri.
Nyanya center had it quarterly evangelism at Mararaba Central Congregation. The students officiated all the activities in worship that day, two backsliding members were restored to service as the students went out after worship for door to door evangelism which was carried out. To the glory of God, seeds were also planted and we pray that God takes control for the seeds to germinate. The congregation was excited hosting the students. Students in attendants were nine (9).
On behalf of the students: "We are grateful for the opportunity the school authority has provided for brethrens to study the words of God."
The students were thankful and prayed for God's guidance, provision and blessings upon all the faculty staff and congregation who supported them with transportation during the event.

REPORT FOR JUNE:
Bear Valley Bible Institute Abuja -Nyanya/Kado Study Centers.
The course for the month was Prison Epistle, the lecturer was Bro. Kennedy Abrutu and 1 Corinthians taken by Bro. Imoh Atakpa.
It was exciting for the students and lecturers that such courses were taken. The courses helped the students to understand how to treat their wives and fellow brethrens. The students were happy because their lecturers did justice to these courses.
On behalf of the students: They were grateful for the opportunity the school authority provided for brethrens to study the words of God.
There was no Evangelism outreach in the month under review, but the next quarter promises to be interesting because of the beehives of activities lined up.
At the end of June, exams were completed on the various subjects and the results are expected to be turned in by lecturers.
We currently have upto eleven students in Nyanya and thirteen in KADO centers.
We have about 12 students who did not make it to the last graduation. Plans are on gear to have them retake the courses they did not do well. We schedule to meet with them and have them complete their academic effects before the next graduation.

Quarterly Updates from Warri, Nigeria

REPORT OF THE BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE – WARRI CENTERS

APRIL–JUNE 2024

INTRODUCTION

Every time I sit to write my report and navigate through the course of the past three months, I feel a sense of fulfilment. The report gives me a pure glimpse of the journey so far, the resolve to tidy every loose end and an opportunity to relish any positive achievement. The faculty and staff of the Warri centers are thankful for the progress so far made amidst many challenges. For me, the last quarter was one of the most challenging quarters with many spiritual battles. However, I am thankful to God almighty for surviving and sustaining us. Our immeasurable thanks go to the Bear Valley Family, the president of African Christian Schools and the President-BVBID Extension Program for constantly guiding us through this enviable endeavor. It is our prayer that the gospel will be sounded to the ends of the earth.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

DSC CENTER

As usual, academic activities resumed and Iduh Odike taught the course O.T. 4 (Major Prophets) at the DSC Centre. O.T 4 centers on the four major prophets and their prophecies, their call, contemporary prophets, region of their duties and the reign of kings in their contemporaries. This course allows the students to understand all of these surrounding events to the Israelites and be informed about the eternal kingdom (Church). A total of eighteen (18) persons sat for the examination.

In May, Abiola Ojoade taught the class on Islam. With the present circumstances in Nigeria, a course on Islamic religion for the preachers, serves as an eye-opener on the origin and history of Islamic religion. The modus operandi and the modus vivendi were carefully examined. 1. The main important history of Islam begins with the rise of Muhammad at 570CE and his quest to establish an Islamic State 2 His conquest of Mecca and Medina 3. The emergence of Islamic Extremism and Fundamentalism. 4. The emergence of the Khalifs and Islamic Sects. It further enlightened the preachers, who will in turn help their various congregations come to terms with the reality of the Islamic faith. A total of 17 sat for the examination.

In June, Solomon Usim discussed the book of Hebrews I. It was an interesting exposition. The class showed the superiority of Jesus of the prophets, the angels, Moses, the Levitical priesthood. In fact, the Hebrew Christians were made to know that the New Covenant was based on better sacrifice by a better priest who is not subject to death. He serves in a better sanctuary, a heavenly sanctuary, for that matter. The class was left in awe since there is a better rest for the people of God. A total of 22 sat for the examination.

PTI CENTER

In April, Solomon Usim discussed the course on Building Bridges in Marriage. The course highlighted the nature of covenants. It was agreed that the rate of divorce would not have been high if couples understood the implications of a covenant. The role of communication in marriage, among other things, were emphasized. A total of 10 persons sat for the examination.

In the month of May, Meredit Ovwromoh discussed Life of Christ III (The book of Luke). The course centers on the early and later works of Jesus in Galilee, Judea, Perea and his final work in Jerusalem, and a closer look at his trial, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. The students were guided through the life of Christ and thus making the experience memorable. A total of 10 students sat for the examination.

In the month of June, Godwin Ojochogwu taught the class on Personal Evangelism III. The discussion centered on the evangelistic principles. How a church can be planted applying the principles. The role of sponsoring congregations and supporting Churches were examined. How to applying goal setting principle and then how some people were converted in the book of Acts formed part of the discussion too. A total of 12 persons sat for the examination.

UGHELLI CENTRE

Classes resumed at the center and Alaba Gabi introduced the course on the Life of Christ I. “The Life of Christ” is a course that is aimed at revealing and projecting the actual person of Jesus Christ, “the Son of God.” It is an in-exhaustive adventure into the revealed Word of God to really understand the person of Jesus. The course reveals the pre-existent nature of Jesus; how the Divine became incarnate; that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh – being 100% God and also 100% man; His supernatural birth; His baptism; how He recruited 12 students who later became His apostles; His unique miracles and powers; His authority – which is of God; His teachings and ministry; how He fulfilled the Scriptures (prophecies of old); His sacrificial and redemptive death, burial, resurrection as final defeat of all enemies. And in all these, Jesus is exalted by the Father above all, because He humbled Himself, (although being God) put on flesh and perfectly carried out the Will of the Father. A total of 15 persons wrote the examination.

In the month of May, Solomon Usim introduced the course on Bible Origin. The course evaluated the various ways God spoke to man in the past. The course navigated through visions, dreams and other forms of revelations. It culminated into the individuals that put the Bible in one volume. The likes of Marcion, the ship owner, the role of Athanasius and so on. It was thrilling for the students to discover the trajectory in the making of the Bible.  A total of 12 people sat for the exams.

In the month of June, Bliss Ebuje discussed the course, Scheme of Redemption. The high points of the course centered on the eternal council of the Godhead, by which God works all things and to which God works all things. The thought shared can be summarized as follows: The Son is the center of all things and everything is summed up in Him (Eph. 1:10). He is the pattern to which men and women should be conformed into an exact representation of Him (Rom. 8:29). A total of 12 students sat for the examination.

ANNUAL LECTURESHIP

The Warri Centers of the Bear Valley Bible Institute held her Second Annual Bible Lectureship on May the 11TH 2024. The lectureship theme was: “Unity of the Christian Faith.” The theme became so important because of some false doctrine peddled by some preachers both in Delta and in Lagos. There are some good, intelligent but derailing brethren who are beginning to believe and teach the doctrine of Arianism and Sabellianism. Besides, there are others who believe in having individual prayers in corporate worship. The idea of the one true church was reemphasized. These and many other doctrinal issues formed the bases of the lectureship. Over 300 individuals were in attendance.

CHALLENGES

It is a fact, as they say, nothing good comes easy. The high cost of living in Nigeria has become a challenge. Finances are no longer enough. Buying things in the market has become tougher than ever. In fact, there are some students, who are preachers, who desire to complete the course by all means but transportation has become a problem. They are coming from a far distance. The students and teachers are now contributing from their lean resources to help support their colleague to transport back and forth. This is a serious challenge.

FIRST QUARTER'S EVENTS

·      Number of Students- Seventy-four (74), twenty (20) at PTI, Twenty-seven (27) at DSC and 27 at Ughelli.

·      Number of Campaigns Conducted by Students/Teachers in this Quarter: None.

·      Number of Baptisms resulting from evangelical efforts by students/teachers this quarter: 12

·      Number of New Congregations Established: None

·      Number of Teachers at the School: Seven (7)

·      Number of Churches Restored: None

CONCLUSION

To God be the glory the work survived another quarter. It is a great privilege. As the new quarter begins, we pray for more zeal and grace to navigate through. The devil and his agents are working hard to thwart the efforts being made. However, Christ is already victorious and is thankful to be part of that victory. We pray that God continues to support those who are supporting the work financially and otherwise.

Several baptisms and restorations in Lusaka, Zambia

BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE LUSAKA

SECOND QUARTER REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2024

INTRODUCTION

On behalf of the staff from the Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka, I wish to submit this Second Quarter Report for the year 2024.

 COURSES COVERED

The courses covered were two as shown below, giving us a total of 28 taught so far.

Prison Epistles. – took two months (April and May). Then Sermon Preparations was taught in the month of June.

On average, we had 11 students who attended the classes in the quarter under review.

OUTREACH PROGRAMS

In the month of April, the Bear Valley Bible Institute (BVBI) team in conjunction with Lusaka Central church of Christ planted a church at the Chresso University located about 34 kilometers away from the nearest congregation (Lusaka Central church of Christ).  The congregation started with an attendance of 28 members and among the attendees were some invited Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) members and the Dean of Students who attended the first worship service on behalf of the University Administration. Some of the SDA students have been converted and are now church of Christ members. This church was planted in the quest to advance the gospel to the higher learning institutions.

In the month of May, again the BVBI team, the Lusaka Central church of Christ in conjunction with the Gospel Chariot Mission from South Africa, planted the church of Christ at Situmbeko area located about 70 kilometers away from the Lusaka’s Central Business District (CBD). The BVBI team camped for 5 days of evangelizing in the area. This was achieved on a 50% cost sharing between the Lusaka Central church of Christ and BVBI. Interestingly, among the baptized members during this outreach program was a 98 years old woman. This church is planted in the rural area and the members congregate at Kalala School where we (BVBI) are renting a classroom at 200 Zambian Kwacha per month.

In order to help these newly planted congregations to grow spiritually and numerically, BVBI and Lusaka Central church send students and church members for preaching and teaching almost on weekly basis.

In the month of June, the BVBI team undertook an outreach program at Chunga church of Christ, where three of our students congregate. It was interesting to note that our team was accompanied by the church elders and women in the evangelism activity.

In the same month of June, BVBI staff and students attended a Four Field Discipleship Workshop which was facilitated by the Gospel Chariot Mission from South Africa held at Lusaka Central church of Christ from June 15 to 17. Certificates of Participation were awarded to the attendees on the last day of the program.

In addition, the BVBI team and Lusaka Central church continued strengthening the church of Christ students with the word of God at the Students’ Fellowship Services held at the University of Zambia.

In the same quarter under review, the BVBI team were involved in various routine activities in their respective congregations by conducting classes for the new converts, teaching Bible study classes and preaching.

Other students continued with the commendable work of taking the gospel to the incarcerated in the local correctional facilities of Kamwala Remand, Lusaka Prison and Mwembeshi Open Prison which is located about 50 kilometers away from Lusaka’s CBD.

BAPTISMS

The BVBI team recorded a total number of 19 baptisms from the above executed activities in the quarter under review. That is, 10 baptisms from the newly planted church at Situmbeko, 4 were recorded from Chresso University new church, 1 baptism from the outreach program conducted at Chunga church of Christ and 4 baptisms from the congregations where the students fellowship.

RESTORATIONS

In the quarter under review, we recorded a total number of 31 restorations. That is, 16 from the new church planted at Situmbeko, 6 from Chresso University new church, 4 from Chunga outreach program, and 5 from the congregations where the students fellowship.

CONCLUSION

The BVBI Lusaka is grateful for the continued support being invested in the advancement of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the growing of the Kingdom of God. Many thanks also to the portrayed teamwork between the Lusaka Central church of Christ and the Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka in the quest to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ.

BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE, NSAWAM, GHANA

SECOND QUARTER REPORT, 2024

Introduction

Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. The following were our activities for the second quarter of 2024.

Classroom Activities

There were three courses offered this quarter; Personal Evangelism 1 and Romans both taught by Emmanuel Aidoo and Old Testament 1, taught by Emmanuel Odeng Larbi.

Evangelism and Church Planting

Preparations are still ongoing to ensure that our campus plants a church at Akotoshie in Accra this year God willing. We hope we will have planted the church by the end of the third quarter.

Impact on Congregations

Our students continue to teach and preach in their local congregations and make a massive impact. What we hear of our current students is nothing but praise. This certainly is due to the sound teaching our students receive at the feet of our instructors. Long may this continue.

Student Profile

Brother James Agboadah is the student we are focusing on for this quarter. He was baptized in 1996 at Asamankese in the Eastern region of Ghana. Presently, he attends the Nsumia church of Christ where he is a regular Bible teacher. He works as a company driver and is also a trained electrician. He is very vocal in his praise of the school and says that the school has helped him grow greatly in knowledge. God willing, when we plant the new congregation at Akotoshie, he will serve as the preacher of the church plant. We are happy to have him with us.

Conclusion

We are grateful for Bear Valley’s assistance during this quarter. We pray for God’s blessings in this regard. And brethren, please continue to pray for us.

Former students stay involved with the school in Luanshya

INTRODUCTION

Hearty greetings to you brothers and sisters in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! In this report for June, we have exciting news for our labor in the Lord. We continue to work with all our former students and making them interacts with our current student body. Yes, our aim is not just to produce a professional Preacher who will seek to earn a living as full time Evangelist, but we train and motivate those with a heart for ministry in becoming more effective in their service to God.

John 1:14- says, concerning the word, “that He became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His Glory, the glory of the only begotten son of God.” Yes! Unless the word become flesh in a form of a preacher, the world will never understand God.  The character of Christ was clearly seen by the apostles and today we know the mind of Christ, His heart and spirit and we are impressed with His life-style we come across in His word (The Bible). Our goal at BVBI-Zambia is that the character we build in our students be the sum total of all the personal quality that distinguishes them from others. We had a spiritual Healthy month of June.

More souls were added:

We had Rodrick Sambati, Mainza Siakuba, Daniel Manyoni who worked tirelessly with our Alumni, Gershom Chansa, Simon Nkhazi and Aclay Kabbaya and their work indeed had a good Harvest. Our labor has brought twenty two souls to Christ through Baptism. As they labored many of their fellow youths developed interest in wanting to be enrolled at BVBI-Zambia.

We saw a spiritual development that has taken place in our students as they were teaching one on one in the village and indeed their labor in the Lord was not in vain. We have attached pictures of our students teaching and Baptizing to this report. Indeed as Christ is presented in the Gospel as a “total Package” with all the wonderful attributes well formed and in place within His life and so we want to translate to the world today, Christ is the man to follow. He is the supreme example. As our students were teaching we noticed good traits formed in them like humility, enthusiasm, patience and courage. We pray that these traits in them continue to form a life changing character in them. We also had a good time with the church in Kitwe during the holidays of our international trade fair. We took the opportunity to teach and interact with the church in Kitwe. During this time we saw eleven (11) members being restored to the sheepfold, Boyd Kalaba our former student worked hand in hand with Tryvin Siamachila our current student. Brother Mwamba Cephas taught at a meeting during this time at Church of Christ Kitwe Central.

Promoting Leaders in the Church

We are currently involved in growing and promoting men in congregations to take up leadership roles in various churches here on the copper-belt province. We had a leadership meeting at church of Christ in Chibwe Luanshya District. We at BVBI-Zambia would like to see men in congregations becoming spiritual giants, in knowing God and just to love everyone. Subject which were covered are: Parenting, How Worship influence our Lives and scriptures.

We received over-warming reception of men in this meeting. We were twenty nine (29) in attendance representing five Congregations. The meeting went on very well and in the month of July we are going to Mufurila for the same meeting and at this time, we will also plan for the gospel meeting to be held in October this year.

Total Baptisms recorded

A total of twenty three souls (23) we added to the Lord’s Church in the month of June, what a joyful sight to see souls saved. May these precious souls walk with God till death, our prayers and love are with them.

Total Restorations!

We recorded a total number of thirty three (33) restorations during the month of June. Four are from Zimba southern part of Zambia were Daniel Kapata and Abiton Siamachila were preaching and seven from Mporokoso Northern province of Zambia were Ishmael Kanyangala preached. Twenty two have been recorded on the copper-belt province. We keep looking forward to a more glorious month of July in our work for the Lord.

Skills straining

Our vegetable garden is on course, we have Onion, eggplants, and banana plantation. The onions are ready and we are enjoying the fruit of our labor. Other plants will be ready in a month time except bananas. We had some layers at school which the students raised. We enjoyed the eggs and we still have some laying these eggs to date.  All our students are participating in acquiring these skills well.

Conclusion

May our God grant a special blessing today to the body of Christ and to Bear Valley Bible Institute Internationally who have such beautiful feet in taking the gospel to others? And we encourage you to offer a special prayer to God on behalf of the souls being saved. Our partnership and your support in this noble work have changed many souls. May God Bless you all and bless the labor of your hands

Brotherly,

Cephas and Fred

Fruitful June Break and Beginning of Seventh Term in Chad

It is with real pleasure that we hasten to give you a report on our activities for the month of June. Above all, receive our best regards in the precious name of Jesus Christ. May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding be your portion for your mission and the glory of God!

Two main points will be the subject of this report. These are activities during the holidays, and the resumption of classes for the seventh term.

As you already know, our students were on vacation for the entire month of June. A few of them really took advantage of this time for evangelism. It was especially true of those who spent the holidays in the village. Sixteen souls in total were saved in two different locations. Eight, including six women, in BEDANA near Sarh where we were passing through during your tour of southern Chad, and also eight, all men, in ROYDONDA in the Moundou area. We give glory to the Lord for the souls saved and give encouragement to the student brothers for the work done. May God bless their activities. Let us pray for these souls that have been added to the Lord's church!

Speaking of training activities, the students returned to the Center on June 30 for the seventh term. Unfortunately, we noted with regret the absence of one student. This is the student N'DROMA OZIAS from the village Ngonogono 3. The reason given for his desertion is family responsibilities. Thus, we begin our seventh term with sixteen students. We ask for prayers for these remaining students and their families.

Finally, we would like to thank the staff of the Bear Valley of Denver and the elders of Creekside church of Christ for all they do for evangelization in Chad.  May God bless each of you in your roles as servants of the Lord in this and other works.

Fraternally in Christ,

Datoudji.

Ashtown, Ghana evangelizes their area

BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE, ASH TOWN, KASOA – GHANA

Second Quarter Report 2024

Introduction

We offer our sincere appreciation to the Almighty God for His divine guidance throughout this quarter. The following report delineates the salient events, accomplishments, and highlights of Bear Valley Bible Institute, situated in Ashtown, Kasoa, Ghana, for the second quarter of 2024.

Courses

During this quarter, three courses were delivered, with Emmanuel Larbi being the instructor. The courses were the Book of Hebrews, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and the Book of James. Fourteen students engaged actively in these enriching courses, acquiring a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

Graduation Ceremony

The school had the privilege of attending the 6th Graduation Ceremony at Bear Valley Bible Institute, Accra on April 20, 2024. The ceremony featured Brother Keith Kasarjian, Director for International Schools, as the guest speaker. His insightful address undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the graduates. The event marked a significant milestone for the institute, celebrating the achievements of its students.

Director visits to Church of Christ in Pious, Ofankor – Kasoa

On June 16, 2024, the Director visited the Church of Christ in Pious, Ofankor-Kasoa, where Brother Isaac Ekow Arthur (student) , serves as the Preacher. I was pleased to see the congregation thriving, with an average attendance of 55, including 30 baptized members. Bro Isaac Arthur led the Bible class that day and I had the opportunity to exhort the brethren. It was heartening to see Brother Isaac working harmoniously with other brethren towards the growth of the Lord's church. We pray that Almighty God continues to empower him with strength and wisdom to fulfill His work.

News on Adom Estate Church of Christ, Kasoa

During this quarter, the Director visited the Adom Estate church to assess its progress. The congregation has grown to 95 members, with 65 of them being baptized. The average attendance of baptized members stands at 50. Encouragingly, the church leaders have implemented visitation programs aimed at re-engaging inactive members. These efforts have led to a renewed interest in the church, with members showing a keen desire to learn more. Sadly, the church recently mourned the loss of Bro Nicholas Tsitsi, a dedicated leader and pioneer who played a significant role in the church's establishment. May his soul rest in peace until we meet again.

Seminar

On June 22, 2024, our students were privileged to attend a seminar hosted by Ashtown Church of Christ, featuring Brother Charles Nii Odotei Odoi as the guest speaker. The thought-provoking topic, "Building Leadership Capacity for the Lord's Church," resonated deeply with our students, who gained valuable insights and knowledge to enhance their leadership skills. This enriching  experience equipped them with practical tools to effectively serve and lead in their respective congregations, furthering the growth and prosperity of the Lord's church.

Baptisms

Rejoice with us as we celebrate the fruit of our students' labour! Through their dedicated efforts, four precious souls have been added to the Lord's church through baptism. This milestone is a testament to the impact of our students' tireless work in sharing the Gospel and nurturing individuals in their faith. We praise God for these new additions to the body of Christ and continue to pray for their spiritual growth and development.

Student Profile

Our student spotlight for this quarter shines on Brother Anthony Kwesi Eshun, a dedicated member of the Church of Christ for 20 years. At 42, he's a devoted husband and father of two lovely daughters. As a skilled plumber, he serves his community with excellence. Moreover, he's a vital part of the Church of Christ, Adom Estate in Kasoa, where he fulfills the roles of secretary and Bible teacher. Since joining Bear Valley School, Brother Tony has experienced significant growth in sermon preparation and has been inspired to deepen his studies, further equipping him to serve the Lord effectively. We're proud of his commitment to his faith and his community!

Conclusion

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of Bear Valley Bible Institute, USA, and the entire brotherhood for their unwavering support and guidance. Your generosity and encouragement have been invaluable to our school, and we are deeply thankful for your investment in our mission. May God abundantly bless and replenish you, returning exceedingly more than you have sown, as you continue to nurture the growth of His kingdom.
