JULY 2024 NARRATIVE REPORT

Introduction

The school continued to uphold its mission of preparing students for effective Christian ministry through academic rigor, spiritual formation, and practical training. This report summarizes key activities and accomplishments during the month.

1. End of Term Examinations

We recently concluded our end-of-term examinations, and we are pleased to report that most of our students performed admirably, and we are proud of their efforts. There is greater room for improvement to some who are not yet at their best. Their hard work and dedication to their studies have been evident, and we are proud of their accomplishments. The results reflect their deepening understanding of scripture and practical ministry skills, preparing them for future service in their communities. Exams covered various subjects, namely: Personal Evangelism, Life of Christ, Scheme of Redemption, Christian Evidences, Pentateuch, How we got the Bible, New Testament Church, and Public Speaking. Classes will resume on the 8th of September.

2. Students on Internship

Our students on internship have continued their impactful evangelism work, resulting in additional baptisms this month. A total of their enthusiasm and compassion have not only brought new believers into the fold but have also strengthened their own faith and ministry skills. Their commitment to sharing the Gospel is a testament to the training they have received and the transformation occurring in their lives. Some students are moving from their current station to another. 18 conversions were made in the month.

3. Projects

3.1  Greenhouse

In addition to academic and outreach activities, our school gardening project has seen remarkable progress this month. After removing the tomatoes in the greenhouse, we planted a new crop, cabbages. We look forward to harvest it at the end of August to early September. Our gardening project remains a source of pride and learning for our students. This initiative not only teaches sustainability, self-sufficiency, and teamwork but also enhances the sense of community among students as they work together for a common goal.

4. UPCOMING EVENTS

4.1  PREACHERS’ RETREAT

From the 16th to the 18th of October Bear Valley Bible Institute-Zimbabwe shall host its annual Preacher’s Retreat under the theme “TAKING PLEASURE IN SELF DEVELOPMENT” from Proverbs 12.17.
