Classes continue in Lagos Island, Nigeria

LAGOS ISLAND/SABO ONIBA CENTER REPORT February - May 2022.

INTRODUCTION: Great is the faithfulness of God to all in His kingdom. The work in Lagos Island is going on well as we have less than two years to graduate the first set of students from this center. 31 courses have been taken and 17 courses remain.

Lagos's new and great development is the successful take-off of the new Study Center in Sabo Oniba covering Mile 2 Badagry areas of Lagos state. This study center will be helping more than 33 congregations to develop Ministers and Bible Teachers. We had our orientation on the 28th of May, 2022. 19 brethren have collected the form while 12 were present during the orientation. Classes will start on the 4th of June with Tim Iwe teaching Research Methodology.  Joseph Okota and Akanimoh Archibong have joined the teaching crew of the work in Lagos.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES: In Lagos Island, the month of May was partly a break and partly a campaign. We worked in Ikota congregation in the Lekki-Aja area. It is a new congregation that some of our students were part of starting in February this year. We also worked with Oluwafemi Adewuyi in his congregation in Shomolu in central Lagos. A soul was brought into the kingdom in these efforts.

The Discipleship Training Program is impacting many congregations in Nigeria positively. I was involved in the training of ministers and church leaders in WNCC in the month of April. I have also started training members of Ijanikan congregation in Badagry area. Their class will be coming up two times a month. We need your prayers for the success of this work.
