“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to tech others also” 2 Timothy 2:2. In fact, every faithful Christian is trying to accomplish this verse. This idea clicked with the Kisongo Church three years ago when we started a Bible school. This school is for two hours a day, Monday to Friday from 4-6 pm. The idea was proposed to educate Christians in the church due to the lack of Bible knowledge of too many members. It also should be used as an evangelistic tool in the church. Among 15 students who started the school on November 2014, five of them graduated. Eight of the students were not Christians, but after a few months, the whole class was faithful Christians, although many of them could not graduate because of up and downs. Now, the graduates are potential to the church. Moreover, in February of this year, we enrolled eight new students and one has already been baptized last week. Please, as you continue to read this short report, remember your prayers are very important to accomplish this mission.
Likewise, the Kisongo church is preparing itself for the Spiritual Discipline seminar which will start on April 5th by brother Daniel Gaines. Last Sunday, three preachers were on duty, brother Maurice Gasper was at Ilkiurei, Daniel Gaines at MtowaMbu, and Isaac Kusupa at Arusha town Church. The seminar is now in the third step by moving to the third congregation. Another thing you need to know is that every preacher has his Timothy to train, knowing that one day he will be able to teach others as well. This is summing up the idea of committing the gospel to the faithful men as Paul commanded to Timothy. Moreover, while I was teaching at the Arusha church on February 22, I noted that members were inviting nonChristians. The preacher of that congregation invited two girls who were studying together for a longtime, and as a result both of them were baptized. This seminar will take the church to the next level and this would not be successful if we did not have a great missionary team led by brother Cy. Please remember your prayers will have a great effect in this.
Thank you all for your prayers and donations. We are in prayer, too, that things may be well with you.
