Classes Begin At SIBS Doboro, Ghana.

A new preacher training school, the Southern Institute of Biblical Studies, has started at Doboro-Nsawam, about fourteen Kilometers away from Accra, the capital of Ghana.

This is a two-year, full time residential program affiliated with the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver, Colorado and is awarded by a Certificate in Biblical Studies. The church at Nsawam, in the Eastern Region is involved in the SIBS.

Included in the primary objectives of the school is to prepare more dedicated men to preach the gospel and to serve in the Lord’s church as evangelists.

Following an induction service on the 15th of February, the maiden admitted students for the 2014-2016 academic year, started classes on the 17th of February, 2014. Twelve mature men from a cross section of the country, and  already serving in different roles in the church, have been admitted into this new program.  This includes some students from Dambai in the Volta-North, Poyamire-Bawku in the Upper East region, and others from the Eastern and Greater-Accra regions respectively.

A good number of the brethren here believe the new school will go a long way to help the spread of the gospel in this region.

We are not only grateful to God for this new program, but also to our financial donors, and to brother Steven Ashcraft, the coordinator, for making this dream become a reality.

Please continue to keep this school and her primary focus of evangelization in your prayers.

God bless
Seth Larbi
